Hi Audra,
Which theme is it? And when you FTP’d it, are you sure the directory structure of the theme files were correct. Did you do a back-up of your WordPress database before upgrading? If you didn’t do a backup, the only other thing I can recommend is that you contact your web host and you ask them if they have a backup of your site prior to your upgrade. Good luck!

Hi Karen, wondering if you could offer me a bit of advice. I recently upgraded to 3.3.1 and now my theme doesn’t work. I didn’t even think of checking it when I upgraded. It looks as if I’ve loaded it onto my ftp server correctly, but it doesn’t show in my wp admin. I don’t know what I can do to get my site back.

thanks for your comment! Yes, responsive web design is the future…I mean it’s already happening. But I’m going with a bigger screen instead of smaller…I never have been a conformist

I just recently discovered the options of responsive webdesign and I think this will be the future. html5 and css3 provide a lot of opportunities for flexible designs. I am not a smartphone fan (not even a friend of mobile phones). Of course this might change once I acquire an iphone .. (sometime) .
Those who own iphones or ipads use it a lot and it’s certainly not a bad idea being prepared for mobile devices. I even can imagine that layouts that are not responsive will be regarded as old fashioned as table layout. Not now … but in the near future.

Actually, the trend has been around for awhile. The more popular computers become, the more isolated people become. Socializing has moved online, but people are at home alone socializing with digital people they will probably never meet face to face.

It’s problematic because the isolation is causing people to develop social anxiety disorders or to lose touch with reality.

It’s like that movie with Bruce Willis called Surrogates. People are sending their robotic selves into the world while keeping their real self locked in a room somewhere.
