Canadians Hold Their Breath As Americans Go To The Polls
Believe it or not Canadians are paying more attention to the US elections than they did for their own recent election. The truth is, what happens south of us affects us one way or another. But that’s not all, this US election is special. This is about seeing the end of the Bush administration, this is about turning things around…change.
There is a promise of hope in the air. I can feel it. And I’m excited. So I ask you all to keep those positive thoughts circulating. Here’s to better days ahead for all of us.

I’m not a total Bush lover or hater, but it does bother me that so many people blame Bush for everything wrong with the USA.
A lot of the negative things that have happened are not all Bush’s fault. Some of the issues were left over from Clinton’s time in office.
Living in the US all my life I’ve seen and been a part of a lot of stuff. I did not vote for Obama. I wasn’t to thrilled about McCain either but to me he was the lesser of two evils.
At this point since the elections are now over, all I can do is hope and pray things to get worked out no matter who is in office.
Canada sure is looking pretty good right about now

Hi Sean,
Thanks for popping in.
At this point I certainly don’t want to debate who the lessor of two evils are and all. For better or worse you have a new president. I happen to like him.
Just remember, the grass is not always greener on the other side. Canada has it’s share of problems too. For instance, Canadians were more interested in the US elections this year than their own. We had the worst voter turnout in Canadian history, while you in the US had the best ever. What does that tell you?
Anyway, I refuse to let any politics and media brainwashing affect my life. I’m optimistic and hopeful. And I am just willing to enjoy my life no matter what dramas enfold around me. You know?

I agree with you 100% “I refuse to let any politics and media brainwashing affect my life.” Well said Karen.
I also agree about the grass not always being greener on the other side but Canada has some really good maple syrup
