Here in Canada, we consider this holiday weekend the official start of “summer” even though summer starts at 1:45 A.M. EDT on June 21, 2009. And today it’s rather chilly here in the Niagara Region at only 12°C or 53°F. Brrr…I even had to turn on the furnace for an hour or so to take the chill out of the house.

Many cottagers drive the clogged highways out of the cities to open up their cottages for the season. This evening there will be traffic jams as they drive back to their city homes.

While most people are just taking it easy today, I decided to take this time to do some writing and work on projects. It’s a good day to make some changes. Yes, it’s a good day for me and I hope yours is too.
