Hello, mothers in cyberspace! Hopefully, you are all getting spoiled by your loved ones. My son spoiled me but then again he’s always good to me. He has turned out to be a fine young man, and that is the greatest gift he could have given me.

Today, I wanted to pay tribute to my mother who left us in June 2005. My mom loved to sing and she would often sing this tune from the classic “South Pacific”. We miss you, Mom.

Recently I was searching for a plugin that could list child pages under a certain page parent and I wanted a very simple solution without having to insert custom PHP code into a page or post. I found and tested List Pages Shortcode, a great solution for easily displaying only pages that you want based on the shortcode you insert into the page or post.

List Pages Shortcode allows you to:

• List pages but exclude certain IDs and set the class of the list to “my-page-list”
• List the current page’s children, but only show the top level
• List the current page’s siblings and their subpages

All in all, I found this to be a very useful plugin that does exactly what it says, and it’s not difficult to implement. Kudos to the plugin developer, Aaron Harp, for his awesome contribution to the WordPress community.

It’s gorgeous outside today in Welland. I’m doing a little work here and then I’m going out to run some errands, grocery shop, and just get away from this computer for a little bit. I need to feel the sun on my face, and the spring breeze in my hair. Being in nature always recharges my batteries.
