A Spiritual Awakening – It`s Time Has Come
Yes, I have been on a certain path for quite some time. When one loses immediate family and and close friends to deadly diseases, one becomes aware of one’s immortality. And so I found myself quickly seeking a deeper meaning to life. I began to ask the universe for everything, but especially what is expected of me? What have I been brought to this realm to accomplish? Why am I here?
I admit, I’m drawn to all new age spirituality, because I know I have to. I know I’m here to communicate something important, whether it’s through my poetry, music, this blog, or even what I teach my son. I am not on any ego trip about this. In fact, I truly believe we all have a purpose, a deeper purpose to our lives. Each of us has our own unique mission to accomplish while we yet live.
This and similar topics have been discussed a lot lately. I think it’s because many people realize we have to do something drastic before our beloved Earth is destroyed. Throughout history humans have continually made the same mistakes over and over. A change must come! And so many of us have become seekers – truth seekers.
I believe there are guides around to help us (humans) change the course of our future. One such “guide”, though very humble and genuine as he is, Eckhart Tolle, who wrote “A New Earth”, has been featured by Oprah and I was driven to watch the webcasts. I know I’m supposed to read that book. How terrific that I can actually take the classes online!
A New Earth is the kind of book that can help all of us discover why each of us are here and connect to our spirits, or whatever name we call our own consciousness. In my case, the book will help me a lot because I know I have had to silence my inner demons, those demons that cause me hours of needless worry. I always worried about stuff that happened in the past, and those things are done and over with, and then I would worry about things that might happen in the future, and they hadn’t happened yet! Learning to be still, quiet my mind’s endless chatter, living in the now, is my new mission in life.
For now is all that matters.

Excellent writing . . . I definitely understand where you are coming from. You’ll find that this path is really one of healing and through healing you are putting back together the fragmented pieces of your soul. Through this, you become whole or as they say “holy” . . . the Divine Being that you truly are. Thank you for sharing!

what a great post! I absolutely agree with you: the time for change has come. I can feel the turning point getting closer by day. So many people are waking up these days I don’t think we’ve ever seen anything like this before. =)
