News and More News

Posted by Karen - December 5th, 2006

As you can see, I’ve changed the design of this site. What do you think? I got the header idea from Christopher of edg3 and his design, Spring Bloom. I just incorporated some winter scenes and my own little twist, color scheme, and a basic 2 column fixed-width style then voilà! Instant seasonal theme design for this site. And I’ve saved the objects so I can replace the photos in the spring and the snowflake body background after News Year’s. Please let me know if you find any bugs in this theme design.

I’ve also been changing the hierarchy of the sidebar links as well as the blog categories. You will notice quite a few changes here and there as I work to continually improve things here. Also, there will be some new free templates and WordPress themes added this week. I’ll post as soon as they are ready.

The other big news is about the newest open source design community. Due to recent events at OpenWebDesign.org, I will now be submitting all new open source templates and themes at The Open Design Community.

I’ll post more later as things are happening very quickly around here. Whew! I look forward to your comments.

    Hi Payal,

I’m glad you like it. Around this time of year I make my own mulled wine so I know exactly what you mean…cozy and warm and yummy, of course ;)
