One of My Designs Is Being Used As a Learning Tool

Posted by Karen - November 15th, 2006

Last Friday I got an unexpected email from a college professor who is using my template Translucent Fluidity on his demo site.

Jim Mahoney writes:

Just dropping you a note to let you know that I used one of your oswd.org designs, namely ‘transparent fluidity’, as a demo in an HTML/CSS/JavaScript course I’m teaching this term.
you can see it here.

I chose it to use both because of the visual impact (very nice), and the fact that it had the right level of complexity (a positioned nav bar, fairly simple layout otherwise, clear and not too much).

Anyway, thanks, much appreciated.

Needless to say, I was very surprised, honored and humbled. It has inspired me to continue to create and improve my skills.

actually when I was doing the seasonal version I found some mistakes that I corrected. My goal is to just keep improving on simple styles like that one.

    Congrats!
Not only is it a great design, it also uses well formed XHTL, which is a good reason to use it as an example.
