WordPress Theme Switcher Installed

Posted by Karen - July 22nd, 2006

I just installed the theme switcher plugin and now visitors to this site can choose a different layout to view the site. So far there are only 2, Karen and Karen 3. Karen 2 is giving me problems in IE…no surprise there :(
I’m sure I’ll find the glitch soon though it irks me to have to always take extra steps to make stuff work in that dreaded browser!

Hi Karen. Now that I can do a side-by-side look at both your themes, I personally like the original one better.

They’re both good, don’t get me wrong, again, just a personal preference and now with a theme switcher, I can view it how I want :)

Do you have a way to see which one your visitors use more? That would be cool if you could.

    Hi Sean,

There you go, I knew the original one would appeal to you more…it\’s less whimsical and more business-like, I guess ;)

hmmm, there are stats plugins for WordPress but I\’m not sure if there are any that tell you which theme you like better…a poll system would do it, though, and I know there are those plugins.

Sites don’t need to be business like for me to enjoy them. I do like whimsical things from time to time :)

No matter what your site looks like, the content is always good. The joy of seperating content from design.

    Thanks, Sean.

hey, I just thought I would mention that I have a new section for Friends Links on my links page, and of course I’ve added your site…
oh and I’m coming over to see what you’re up to ;)

Well, you can say it’s whimsical, but you could also say it goes towards Art Deco.
The top and bottom image sure look like that and the left and right body image could go for it as well, I think.

It’s really nice to play with the different themes. Do we get them in different colors too? :-)

I saw your friend link page and thanks for the link. I’m working on a few things with my site and will soon have a links section. You might just see your name in lights :)

  7. Karen Says:

    yes, Frits…you’re right..Art Deco…another style I rather like…
so far I don’t have themes in different colors…but there will be a third theme soon ;)

Sean..goodie! good luck with whatever you’re working on your site…I’m sure it will be great :)

As of today you can also switch themes on my site.
It bugged me not being able to see Crisp 1 any more so I did something about it…

  9. Karen Says:

and thanks again for supporting my work :)

Letting christmas fade off to the past and going thru some of my bookmarks…I was here before because I have this blog bookmarked…. But Ido not recognize it, so you must have made some serious changes in the design?
