CSS3 Not Worth the Wait
The tricks that a web designer will be able to implement with CSS3 are fun, save time, and will explode their creativity. Unfortunately, we will still have to contend with IE and the problems with comptability and the fact that there are many users who still use IE6! So CSS2 doesn’t even work properly for those users!
After reading this post, I’m thinking I’m not even going to bother experimenting with CSS3 because it will just render my style sheet invalid anyway (still) and I will have to hack or create conditional statements for IE. What else is new?
After all this time you would think that all browsers would finally get their act together. I use Firefox 95% of the time and only use other browsers to test my designs. Unfortunately most users never bother changing the browser their computer comes setup with, IE for Windows users and Safari for Mac. Safari, no surprise, supports CSS3! So does Firefox.
Once again, web designers are at the mercy of IE and I imagine my colleagues will be cursing about IE’s incompatility for years to come. And that’s really too bad.

IE is always going to be a problem, CSS3 or not.
I still have people wanting me to make things IE5 and 6 happy. Dumb. It’s a free upgrade and download people, just get the recent version of IE or like you said use Firefox.
Now we also have Chrome to worry about. So many browsers to account for. Ugg.
Don’t forget about mobile phone browsing too. Yet another OS to think about.
Also, Mac’s are PC’s too… Personal Computers
