Re-Discovering Bryce 3D

Now that I’ve upgraded my computer and have lots of extra memory to use robust 3d rendering applications, I’ve begun to really appreciate this nifty piece of software. I know there are a ton of better programs out there now, more sophisticated and advanced, but for a beginner or intermediate user, my Bryce program does the trick.
Because I’ve learned how to import objects from other 3D applications, and I have experimented with my own sky and material presets, I’ve been creating some interesting graphics. My latest logo includes some of my earlier attempts. Here are a couple of my most recent creations:

I’d love to read your feedback. What 3D graphics software do you use or recommend?
