Translucent Fluidity Now a WordPress Theme
One of my most popular templates, Translucent Fluidity, has now been ported to WordPress. Another person who goes by the name of “business broker” created a theme from this template first, but I wasn’t really happy with the way it was done.
You be the judge:
My version remains fluid like it was intended and is also widget-ready. I look forward to your comments.

Update: I’ve since changed the theme to give the top nav the WordPress “pages” function. If you are a WordPress user with good coding skills you can easily change the nav’s links to whatever you want in index.php and single.php in the theme’s directory.

Hi Karen,
Your version is much better indeed and is true to your original design and that’s what I think makes a good conversion from template to wordpress theme.
I do suggest making the top nav work with the “pages” functions, so if people add pages, they don’t have to manually add them to the header file.
Keep up the great work!

Wow, you version is amazing, A beautiful theme with a great professional theme. great job! The difference between a great and lousy them is in the details, and you got it right.

Hi,
I don’t agree with Sean. Usually I face a situation that I don’t want that all my pages are listed in main UI by default.
My humble opinion is that it’s much easier to add all needed pages visible by editing a code manually.

Thanks, Joe, for your support:)
Tommi, initially that was what I was thinking but most people don’t usually know how to modify code manually so I’ve gone and changed it as per Sean’s advice…
A WordPress user with some coding skills can easily change it

Hi Karen, always glad to make suggestions.
Tommi, in WordPress you can exclude various pages from showing up.
It’s very easy to do. You just look up the page ID in your admin section and add the exclude=pagenumberhere&title_li= and it won’t show up.
I highly recommend to anyone using WordPress to read up on the codex. There is a wealth of information in it.

Hi Sean,
that was a good little tip. I have gone back and forth to the codex to learn as much as I can. I’m just soaking it all in

Karen -
I really enjoy your version of this theme much more than the ‘other’ one. Thanks for being so easy to work with.
Cheers!
