Blogging+Video+Social Bookmarking=Cheap Web Marketing
You don’t have to spend a fortune marketing your site if you use the right tools, you know what you are doing, and you have patience and lots of time.
Blogging consistently using keyword-rich title tags, offering something for free , and allowing your vistors to interact on your blog is a really smart marketing tactic. It’s viral and that combined with other strategies could mean explosive traffic for the Web site owner.
Social bookmarking sites such as Technorati, Digg and StumpleUpon are hugely popular and so anyone taking advantage of that trend is probably doing quite well. I have yet to spend too much time on this marketing trend because it can be tedious work since each link must be submitted separately. I do know that eventually I will have to devote a specified amount of time on this if I want to stay competitive.
The other trend is video marketing. One only has to consider the success of YouTube.com to know that this is a major contender for drawing traffic to your site. I have got big plans to produce paid video content in the future as well as videos for fun and entertainment just like the video in my previous post. I already know I’m going to have tons of fun creating the videos so I hope this trend sticks around for a while
Combining blogging, social bookmarking and video ads will most definitely increase the amount of traffic you receive if your site has quality content and provides a benefit to your visitor.
What’s it going to cost? Not much, really. A registered domain costs about $10, a hosting account can cost as little as $5 per month, WordPress can be installed at zero cost, the cost of your video production software (you probably have the free Windows Movie Maker to start you off) and your time - which often can be priceless, I know. Still, persistence is the key and even if you only have a little bit of time to devote to marketing your site, do it the right way using these 3 marketing techniques and you’ll reap the rewards. Good luck!
