I’ve found the URL Trends data can take a quite a while to reflect the search engine stats and that the search engine’s themselves take a while to pick up links. When I do link:www.karenblundell.com on google it shows a health number of links to your site. When I do it for my own site, it shows a completely different result than URL Trends indicates for google. Bottom line: you’re probably doing better than you think.

Bear in mind that Google is notorious for not showing all links to sites. You may have some that they just aren’t reporting.

I’ve had sites that show in excess of 10K links friom Google one month, 3-4K the next month, and then back up to 10K again the following.

Just keep exchanging links with quality, like-themed sites and all will be well.

Maybe put some static content on the home page,
switch to a 3 colum layout, put the blog in the 3rd colum and shift it to the middle.
