Keeping Up With WordPress
It’s becoming a real chore to keep up with WordPress. No sooner have I implemented something here and on other blogs when I have to change it again in a few months time. Several plugins such as ©Feed, which I found really useful, no longer work with WordPress 2.6+ .
What’s even worse is now I have to slightly alter my WordPress themes so that I can submit them to the re-vamped Theme Directory and adhere to the new submission guidelines. Hmmm. I’m going to have to take some time this week to do all that, I guess. Or not.
You see, as much as my WordPress themes have brought me lots of viral traffic, and I’m really grateful for that, there are other ways to achieve the same thing. I’m on a mission to make money passively, so affiliate marketing has been my primary focus lately. I also have been writing on other blogs and I’m putting together a product of my own which I plan on releasing this fall.
All of this means is that I’m just not going to be quite so anal about keeping my WordPress stuff all updated. There are many other things more important at the moment. What do you think?
