Useful WordPress Plugin: pageMash

March 18th, 2009

One of the most useful WordPress plugins that I have implemented lately is pageMash. What I like about this plugin is the simple drag-and-drop interface which enables the user to re-order WordPress pages in any way.

The other really great feature is the ability to hide pages from output. This is especially handy if you are creating WordPress pages that re-direct to your affiliate links.

pageMash is quite simply a great plugin. You can check out an example of it’s usage here.

    Missing icons in http://merchantcross.com blog

Hey Karen, for some strange reason, the icons that are usually located across the top of my text field (in the visual view, when creating a new post) are missing! I’m referring to the icons to insert pictures, etc. in the blog. I’ve used them before in previous blog entries but now they have disappeared! I’ve searched through all the options and can’t find any help. Do you have any idea what could have happened or how to get them back?
    Thanks!

Hi Zelda, under “Users”, click on “Your Profile” and make sure “Disable the visual editor when writing” is unchecked.
If it is then it means that something may have happened to your WordPress install. Check the images folder in the wp-admin directory. Make sure images are there. If images are there but you can’t see them then you need to change file permissions so that read and write persmissions are set for all or chmod 666.
