Apparently I'm not the only one having similar issues. There are a lot of unhappy WP users, for sure. Yeah, I found it odd that I needed to put copies of php.ini in more than just the public_html folder, but I'm just happy it works. I've noticed a couple of enhancements I like, but time will tell if they are actually useful. Yeah, I found it odd that I needed to put copies of php.ini in more than just the public_html folder, but I’m just happy it works. I’ve noticed a couple of enhancements I like, but time will tell if they are actually useful.

I would contact your host support again and let them know this so whatever the issue is can be fixed. In other news, glad you finally got WP 2.9 working. You will love all the improvements and feature enhancements for sure.
