(had a plan with all that). In the end I deleted everything, and just uploaded the comments and posts to the new 2.3 installation, works perfectly. My version of Fantastico didn't have the upgrade available yet from my cpanel but I kind of got in the habbit of doing manual installs via FTP, anyway. The pros of Fantastico is that it's really quick! Cons: You are not in control of what files get upgraded.
